01 | Background

P.Audio's previous website had served for over a decade. As the brand and its product lines grew, the site fell behind in design, information architecture and content maintenance. Built on a proprietary framework from an external agency, every product addition or update had to go through developers — a cumbersome process that kept adding to long-term maintenance costs.

The site had also gone years without systematic updates: product information was scattered, image styles inconsistent, and some specs and downloads needed re-verification. This project wasn't just about modernising the interface. It was about giving the team ownership of their website.

Old P.Audio site: homepage, product listing and detail pages
The previous homepage, product series landing page, series model listing and product detail page. Dated visual design, unclear navigation structure, muddled information hierarchy and no clear calls to action.

The new homepage: (left) the hero area opens with clear brand messaging and a call to action; (right) product categories, new products, technology, resources and distributor enquiries follow in sequence — a clear hierarchy that lets visitors go deeper at their own pace.

02 | Restructuring the site so information is easy to find

The first step was reorganising the overall architecture and product navigation. The old site's category hierarchy was unclear — users often had to navigate across multiple pages to find the right product.

Products were reclassified by series, size and magnet material, with flexible filtering that lets engineers, distributors and system integrators quickly narrow their search. On-site search was added to speed up lookups across a large catalog.

Beyond the product area, key pages such as About Us, Distributor List and Contact were reorganised, and a new contact form added — clearer contact information and enquiry entry points that make it easier for potential customers to reach the brand.

03 | Standardising product content

With the site long overdue for a full update, the project also included a large-scale clean-up of product data: over 150 products, checked and updated one by one for technical specs, download files and related information, in close collaboration with the manufacturer's R&D team.

I standardised the composition and presentation style of product imagery, and redesigned the spec layout for readability. Technical parameters, download sections and related content now follow one consistent standard across every product page.

Distributor contact details were also reorganised and updated, keeping the global distributor list current and easy for customers to use.

04 | Building a site the team can sustain

To end the reliance on external developers, this revamp focused on flexible, extensible admin management. I created reusable page and product templates connected to custom WordPress fields, allowing the team to add, edit and retire products without developer support.

The architecture also leaves room to grow. Future event pages, technology pages or resource downloads can be created by applying existing templates and entering content, reducing both development time and ongoing maintenance costs.
